A curated network of educators - selected, trained, and matched with care.

Selected, not listed

Every WorldWise tutor is enrolled in or has completed college (many hold master's degrees or PhDs) and all have real teaching experience. Every tutor lives in Illinois or Texas and can work with students in person.

Trained in how we teach

Tutors learn the WorldWise proven-effective methodology for teaching students metacognition, executive functions, and interpersonal skills - alongside their academic and/or test prep tutoring.

Matched on more than subject

We weigh expertise, experience, schedule, location, and personality. You receive the bios of handpicked tutors to choose from.

Our founder

Founded by a classroom teacher who wanted every student to learn how to learn.

Lindsey Wander taught STEM to middle-school students in California before moving to Chicago and starting WorldWise in 2011. Her goal: help students improve grades and scores while building the skills to become confident, independent lifelong learners.

Today Lindsey leads methodology and matching standards, and a network of trained educators delivers high-quality tutoring in person in Illinois and Texas and online worldwide.
