Nominate a Student

The pandemic has shone a spotlight on inequality in America, especially in regard to education. The Achievement Gap is being widened with school closures. Black and Hispanic students living in poverty are among the hardest hit.

WorldWise Tutoring’s Student Sponsorship program will provide a semester’s worth of highly-qualified online instructors to low-income minority students. The goal of this program is to help students with academics and test prep, while also teaching them the underlying learning and life skills so that they can excel in all classes, in college, in their careers, and beyond.

If you know a student who shows promise, please complete this form. There is no deadline, but admission is rolling (students are accepted on a first come first serve basis until spaces are filled).

Nominated Students Must:

  • be living at/below the Federal Poverty Line

  • be of Black or Hispanic descent

  • reside in IL or TX

  • be in grade K – 12

  • demonstrate an active leadership role in the school and/or local community

  • have at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA for the past 2 years*

  • acquire a Letter of Nomination from a non-family member*

*NOTE: A copy of the student’s transcript and Letter of Nomination must be emailed to [email protected] with the student’s full name in the subject line.
