Factoring Polynomials

Factoring Polynomials

A polynomial is an expression consisting of one or more variables and coefficients, only non-negative integer exponents, and only the operations of addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Polynomials are a large part of Algebra and Pre-Calculus courses, as well as standardized tests such as the ACT, SAT, GRE, and GMAT. A proper understanding of how to factor and solve polynomials are necessary to pass these courses and assessments. Use this guide to better understand techniques for factoring polynomials.
